Kristen got me thinking about my blog so I decided to do some catching up!
Our family is doing well, Trustin has started 3rd grade and really enjoying getting back to school. In fact he likes school so much he thought it would be fun to loose his first tooth during music class last Wednesday. He enjoyed going to the office and getting his "treasure chest" to keep it in for the tooth fairy. Here in lies the problem, he brought it home and brother & sister wanted to take a look for themselves and lost it and no one could find it! In comes Dad to save the day and told him to write a letter to the Tooth Fairy explaining his problem. Well it seems the Tooth Fairy took pity on him and left $1.00 under his pillow anyway!
Aspen is growing up and once again has to wait another year to go to school (she wanted to go last year too!) Needless to say all she can think about is learning to read. She & Mom are spending time learning letter sounds and working to the point that she can read, maybe she will be like her Mom and love to read!
Ammon is my outdoors boy. He loves to be outside helping Mom & Dad to build the house. He can pretty much get you any tool you want with no hesitation. He also thinks it is fun to be on the roof with Mom & Dad.
Mom and Dad have had quite the time in the last few weeks, where do we start? Mom ended up getting 2 sets of stitches about 2 weeks ago (on the chin & knee.) She is just getting back to being able to walk without limping, no I have not been able to put my feet up, building has to go on. On the other hand Dad could not be outdone and fell off the 8' foot ladder while we were painting the bottom part of the house. He landed on his right side and hurt himself, although not sure exactly what he injured because he did not go to the doctor he just knows it hurts when he works on the house!
Even with out setbacks we are still making headway on the house building. All we have left on the outside is the gusset in the back and the siding & gusset in the front. We are also hoping to have the septic tank in & water lines run before the end of October and then we can go to work inside the house!
